Atlantis the Royal, opening officially on February 10th, sets a new precedent for luxury in Dubai. Totaling more than 4 million square feet and soaring 43 stories, the 795-room landmark occupies a striking volume by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF).
The building emphasizes indoor-outdoor living with individual stacked blocks that provide bespoke, private experiences arranged off a single core. The formation instills a sense of intimacy across a sprawling complex detailed with naturally ventilated and shaded outdoor courts. The design also reinterprets the sculptural towers typically associated with Dubai. A sky bridge featuring pools, lounges, and other amenities links the structures.
