Nearly 25 years after opening in San Francisco’s Mission District, Italian concept Delfina has reemerging following a thorough renovation. Helmed by locally based ROY Hospitality and Sarah Fucinaro of Fucinaro Architecture, the redesign draws upon Delfina’s legacy with an approachable but sophisticated sensibility. “We approached the design like rings of a tree—an evolution from the past, layered with the new, both in space and materials,” Fucinaro says. “The concept then centers around flirtations with different eras and elements of Italian design and architecture.”
