50 Eggs Hospitality Group has debuted a new location of its modern American concept, Yardbird, in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. New York-based Rockwell Group led the design of the approachable restaurant, which features a convivial atmosphere characterized by a seamless indoor-outdoor flow that bonds the space to the cityscape.
“The act of dining out and hospitality centers around bringing people together and Yardbird really embodies this idea, from the brand’s amazing sense of hospitality to the menu’s innovative classic American cuisine,” says Rockwell Group partner Shawn Sullivan. “Taking these cues, [we] developed a design concept that draws guests through a series of open-plan dining spaces connected by a mezzanine. Each area offers a different type of gathering space, accommodating a range of social experiences.”
