The London office of Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) has completed a graceful redesign of the Adria in the South Kensington neighborhood of the UK capital. The renovation is the 19th-century luxury townhouse’s first in more than a decade. The new upgrades accentuate the property’s historic ethos while infusing a contemporary character. “We worked to capitalize on the building’s graceful Victorian proportions, layering a combination of tactile fabrics and timeless finishes to retain the hotel’s heritage feel that appeals to today’s guests,” HBA London senior associate Erica Pritchard says.
