Lark Hotels has introduced the seventh property in its Bluebird by Lark collection. Designed by collaborators Elder & Ash, the Bluebird Lake Placid in New York departs from the region’s classic Adirondack styles.
The 90-room lakeside retreat is instead distinguished by a fusion of Scandinavian and Japanese design sensibilities dubbed “Japandi.” “Taking inspirations from both styles and combining the rustic with minimalism to create a space for our guests that feels connected with nature’s natural elements, neutral colors, and design-focused pieces,” says Elder & Ash interiors associate Tory Knoph. “We highlighted existing and new architectural elements with the space as well to give it a cozy yet grand feel.”
