Hotel pipeline data for Europe showed a 29.4% year-one-year increase to 1,654 projects as of the end of January, according to STR.
Unaffiliated projects represented the largest percentage increase, with 88.7% growth in activity year-on-year.
Of the main three categories, unaffiliated accounted for 69,369 rooms, with upscale at 41,391 rooms
and upper midscale at 35,508 rooms.
