Accor takes another step towards franchise expansion and signs a contract for a new venture in Sorriso, Mato Grosso, Brazil. This will be the ibis Styles brand’s first hotel in the city, scheduled to open in 2027, with an architectural project by Marabuco.
According to Abel Castro, Chief Development Officer Accor Americas in the Premium, Midscale & Economy division, this new signature reflects not only Accor’s strategy to expand its presence throughout Brazil, but also the growth of the chain in rapidly developing agricultural cities such as Sorriso. “By offering a high-quality lodging experience, we bring Accor’s standard of excellence to the destination and contribute to local economic development by creating new jobs,” he said.
