Room & Board obtains B Corp certification
Minneapolis-based furniture retailer Room & Board is now a Certified B Corporation (B Corp). Room & Board and its commercial arm, Room & Board for Business, join a select group of global companies that are certified to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. “Since the beginning, Room & Board has considered both people and the planet alongside profit,” says company founder and CEO. “Becoming a B Corp was a natural next step for our company.” Room & Board has been committed to green practices for more than 40 years, now successfully sourcing 85 percent of its wood sustainably and reaching 70 percent renewable electricity usage in stores and operations.
