U.S. weekly hotel occupancy eclipsed 50% for the first time in more than a month, but the index to 2019 dipped from the week prior, according to STR‘s latest data through 5 February.
30 January through 5 February 2022 (percentage change from comparable week in 2019*):
- Occupancy: 50.4% (-15.8%)
- Average daily rate (ADR): US$125.06 (-1.2%)
- Revenue per available room (RevPAR): US$63.05 (-16.8%)
While none of the Top 25 Markets recorded an occupancy increase over 2019, Norfolk/Virginia Beach came closest to its pre-pandemic comparable (-0.6% to 47.3%).
