Hilton (NYSE: HLT) recently announced the signing of a management agreement for DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama in partnership with THE SANKEI BUILDING CO., LTD., Kokyo Asset Management Co., Ltd. and GRANVISTA Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd. The 158-room rebranded hotel will be the first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Kyoto and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2023.

When it opens in the coming months, DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama will mark Hilton’s third brand to enter Kyoto in two years, after ROKU KYOTO, LXR Hotels & Resorts in late 2021 and the recently opened Hilton Garden Inn Kyoto Shijo Karasuma.
